Cookie policy
Last updated: 08/09/2026 This site uses cookies. Here is what they are, what they do, and how to change your mind whenever you like.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. It remembers things between pages or between visits. Some are essential for the site to work. Others, like analytics, only load if you allow them.
What happens by default
Nothing. The first time you arrive, analytics cookies are switched off. They only start working if you press "Accept" in the notice at the bottom of the page. If you press "Decline", or ignore the notice, they stay off and you can still use the whole site.
Cookies we use
Necessary Not cookies as such, but local storage in your browser. We only keep your decision about cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. yes_consent: stores whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies. It lasts until you clear your browser data. Analytics (only with your consent) We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and where they come from. It is aggregated information: it helps us improve the site, not identify you. _ga: set by Google Analytics to distinguish one visitor from another. It lasts 2 years. _ga_VT52SPWBVF: set by Google Analytics to keep session state. It lasts 2 years. Note: your browser may shorten these. Chrome caps them at 400 days, Safari at 7 days if you do not return. We use no advertising cookies, no social media cookies, and we do not share your data with advertisers.
Third-party embedded content
The contact page shows a Google Maps map. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies in your browser, under Google's policies. We do not control those cookies. If you would rather avoid them, you can block third-party cookies in your browser settings; the rest of the site keeps working.
Changing your mind
There is a Cookie settings link in the footer, always available. Click it and the notice comes back so you can choose again. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Every browser does this differently; look for "cookies" or "privacy" in the settings of the one you use.
Who processes this data
Statistics are collected through Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited. Google may transfer and process that data outside the European Economic Area, under the transfer mechanisms provided for in the GDPR. We have enabled the settings that keep the data sent to a minimum: no sharing with advertising services, and ad data redaction switched on.
Changes
If we change the tools we use, we update this page and the date at the top. For the full picture of what we do with your data, read our Privacy policy. Questions? Write to patricia@quintadopedescalco.com.
